THE W2s ARE COMING! THE W2s ARE COMING!!! Every single one of us here at the Wild Cow get so excited about the prospect of filing our income returns, we just can’t contain our joy! So naturally, this exuberance, this exultant, ecstatic, irrepressible, overwhelming swell of emotion is expressed the only way we know – through unbridled culinary creativity, in homage to that great bastion, that rock-solid pillar of American collective monetary pooling and expendeture, the Internal Revenue Service. And what better way to celebrate this most American of traditions than by creating a vegan dish rooted in the glorious history of…. Mother Russia herself??? Comrade John’s MIXED MUSHROOM STROGANOFF, with button mushrooms, portabellos, and local oyster ‘shrooms over pasta with a homemade white sauce! Wait… I’m so terribly, terribly confused… anyhow, whatever you think about taxes, socialism, Russo-American political dynamics, or the word “Stroganoff” (which personally makes me shudder a little bit every time I hear it… in a good way…), it’s delicious. And better for you than this.

Soup today is GREEN CHILI MONSTER!!!! Side today is QUINOA SALAD WITH PINEAPPLE AND RED PEPPERS!!! Hummus today is BASIL OREGANO!!!! My shtick right now is YELLLING AT YOU!!!!!

Hear me now – Every now and again (more often in the winter months), Mr.Cochran gets homesick for his native Carribean isles. And even after Melanie reminds him that he’s actually from the Northeast, his yearing for the gentle caress and intoxicating scent of the warm sea breeze, mixing with the spicy, tempting odors of local cuisine as it wafts ashore, instantly transports him back to a nonexistant youthhood. Of course, as any culinary transplant must do to deal with this crippling nostaligia, John has once again cooked away his sorrows, creating in the process one delicious special. Come capitalize on this poor lost soul’s wrenching expression of grief – Two jerk-seasoned tempeh tacos, with grilled peppers and onions, lime-cilantro slaw, homemade vegan sour cream, and just a few inadvertant salty tears of wistful longing. It comes with your choice of a side as well.

Our veggie of the day is Baby Bok Choy and Kohlrabi Salad with Bean Sprouts, and we’ve got a Chickpea, Spinach, and Shallot soup.

Our vegan desserts can beat up your vegan desserts. LOSER. I mean, if our vegan desserts were pokemon, we’d be like, the grand master, or whatever it’s called when you win a lot of pokebattles. We’d be at like level 9,000 or something. In our repertoire today?
